Half-Finger Glove
Knit from the fingers down, each finger is constructed first then joined to make the hand. Thumb is joined and thumb gusset worked from thumb to cuff. Glove is finished with jogless stripes and contrasting hem.
Fingers can be knit on DPNs but circular needles are recommended for the hand portion to make it easier to try on and check fit as you go; not required if you are more comfortable with DPNs. Both circular & DPNs are recommended for construction.
Match gauge to obtain size given. Add/subtract stitches to modify size up/down. Project knit in stockinette so it is easy to modify size once gauge is achieved.
Project would be a great stashbuster project: suggestion for each finger knit in separate color to clearly identify which finger is which before attaching to hand. If choosing to use different colors for glove:
CA: 8 yds
CB: 6 yds
CC: 12yds
CD: 24 yds
CE: 10 yds
CF: 64 yds
An optional i-cord construction or regular in-the-round, as one prefers, for fingers is provided. Crochet cotton recommended for working finger joins.
Optional instructions to make this a full-finger glove if desired. Additional notes provided to design your own glove, from cuff to fingers or from fingers to cuff.
