Half-Moon is part of I Knit San Francisco

I distinctly remember discovering Love Fest Fibers at West Coast Craft (a great SF market filled with local creatives selling their wares) a couple years ago. I was immediately smitten with the yarn, the process, the story—and, of course, the lovely people behind the company. I couldn’t resist a few balls of Tough Love Tiny, and they lived, as decoration, in my workspace until finally one day, I decided what to do with them. I wanted to knit a rug and played around with the design—constantly simplifying because the yarn is a bit of a challenge to knit with! I finally came up with a deceptively simple-to-knit half moon (or gibbous) shape, and the tassels added the perfect fun finish. My original rug lives by my bedside, and I adore that the first thing my feet touch every morning is this gorgeous wool with such a wonderful story—the perfect way to start every day.
