Halifax is a whimsical pattern for a fun knit, and a great introduction to intarsia knitting. The yarn is heavy worsted to Aran, so the slipover-vest knits up quickly. Halifax is the perfect wardrobe addition when you need just a little extra warmth.

The slipover-vest is worked from the bottom up as separate pieces. No more than two color changes occur in a row, so bobbins are not necessary for the intarsia work. The shoulders are joined using a 3-needle bind off and the sides are seamed. Neck and armhole treatments are picked up and worked in the round.
