Stripes of cables (taken from Norah Gaughan’s famous pattern collection, “Knitted Cable Sourcebook”) stand out against a stocking stitch background in this striking triangle shawl. But there’s a subtle twist along the top border as some of the cables soar across the stocking stitch to weave into the next stripe.

Halu is worked on the bias, with clear instructions to take you through the techniques of cabling, increasing and decreasing, I-cord tab cast-on and I-cord bind-off. You’ll find it to be just the right blend of relaxing and challenging.

Halu ist ein asymmetrisches Dreiecktuch mit Streifen in einem Zopfmuster aus Norah Gaughans berühmter großer Mustersammlung. Für zusätzliches Strickvergnügen sorgen drei schmale Streifen parallel zur oberen Tuchkante, die sich durch alle Zopfmusterabschnitte nahtlos hindurch weben.
