Handpaint Tweed
by Diane Soucy
Vest knit side to side in a handpainted cotton/rayon yarn is classic and versatile. Reverse stockinette shows off the nubby texture of the yarn. Directions included for 6 sizes from XS-35” to XXL-53 1/2”.
8 oz. skeins mean the vest takes 2 skeins for any size. If you use a smaller skein put up you will need less yardage for the smaller sizes.
Yarn is discontinued: I used a 9 WPI beaded cotton rayon blend from Lotusblossom hand dyer.
Other possible yarn subs:
Blue Heron Yarns Cotton/Rayon seed, 475 yds./8 oz. skein. Two strands of any wool/cotton blend fingering weight yarn will also work.
