Handwork
The Handwork Cardigan was born from gratitude and love. Created in honor of my Local Yarn Store’s first anniversary, it is a quiet thank-you to Whitney for building a space where creativity blooms, and to the Handwork community whose warmth and friendship fill every corner.
This sweater carries that spirit—easy stitches that flow like conversation, deep pockets to hold little treasures, and a fit that wraps you in comfort. It’s a cardigan meant not only to wear, but to remember: of laughter shared, new skills learned, and the simple joy of making together.
The Handwork pattern is FREE with purchase of yarn at Handwork SLC. Pattern will be available for purchase October 2025.
NOTES: The cardigan is worked top down starting with the back and front yokes, then joined at the underarms and worked in one piece to hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round. The buttonband is worked from picked up stitches around the neckline. Pockets are worked separately and seamed to front of cardigan. To finish, buttons are sewn onto Neckband.
