For some reason, all of the outlets in my home that are near tables are always full! I was reduced to plugging my phone in across the room in a vacant outlet and laying my phone on the floor. This posses many problems. Not only does it leave my phone vulnerable to being stepped on and broken, it leaves my cord in the way for others to trip on or the cat to play with or chew on. I needed a solution…. I found a sewing pattern for an item similar to this, but, seeing as I don’t sew, that wouldn’t work for me. So, I sat down with yarn and hook in hand and, within an hours, I had my new hanging cell phone charging case! Awesome!!! All four of us in our home now have a version of this. Three different cell phones and my daughter’s handheld game system all hang on little hooks near our charger’s outlet with the device and cords tucked safely away.

This pattern is written for iPhone 5, but it is easily customizable to fit any device if you follow the suggestions in the pattern notes section.
