This pattern is totally adjustable according to the size of yarn and needles used. Take the needle size suggested for the yarn you choose and add two sizes - the larger needle size will give you room for the ball to felt. You can make smaller balls for smaller dogs by using worsted weight yarn and size 10 needles. Make larger balls by using super bulky yarn, like Cascade Magnum, and size 13 or 15 needles.
