Happiness Hat
This hat was inspired by the happiness symbol, or St. John’s Cross, which Elsebeth Lavold discusses in relation to Viking artifacts in her book, Viking Patterns for Knitting: Inspiration and Projects for Today’s Knitter. The happiness symbol adorns the hat on a background of garter stitch. Braided cables flank the happiness symbol(s) and continue to the crown. Prefer happy feet or hands?
