Introducing the Happy Hour Top 2.0! Now worked seamlessly from the top-down so you can easily customise the length of your top to suit your preferences. Additionally, this new version of the pattern has been re-graded for an improved fit across all sizes, and now includes charted instructions. The Happy Hour Top 2.0 is a versatile, transeasonal piece that can be both layered or worn on its own.

This is a new and improved version of my original Happy Hour Top pattern, which was released in 2022. I essentially re-wrote the entire pattern and went through the entire editing and testing process again, which is why a seperate listing has been made for the new version, rather than it being just a pattern update. The original pattern is still available to purchase, but I have reduced the price by 50%.

Construction
The Happy Hour Top 2.0 is worked from the top-down in the Slipped Hourglass stitch. The back panel is worked flat and the armholes are shaped with increases. Stitches are picked up along the back shoulder edges for the front shoulders, which are each worked flat and shaped with increases, and then joined to form the front panel, which is also worked flat. The front and back panels are then joined at the underarms, and the body is then worked in the round. Stitches are then picked up along the neck hole and the armholes to work the neck and sleeve trims in the round.

Sizing
XS (S, M, L, XL) (XXL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) to fit a bust measurement of 71-76 (81-86, 91.5-96.5, 101.5-106.5, 111.5-117) (122-127, 132-137, 142-147, 152-158) cm / 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46) (48-50, 52-54, 56-58, 60-62)”.

Garment is intended to be worn with approx. 1-8 cm / 0.5-3.25” of negative ease.

If your bust measurement falls between sizes, it is recommended to size down to ensure your top has negative ease. However, if you prefer a looser fit, you may wish to size up.

The pattern includes instructions for how to adjust the length of your top.
