Harbor Hat
While dining in Oslo at Akershus Fortress, our coasters had this “X” motif on them. Then I noticed it in the brickwork of one of the barns in the complex. The fort sits at the edge of the Oslo Harbor, which in turn is part of the Oslo Fjord. Hence, the Harbor Hat. The motifs of the very graphic “X” and the traditional Norwegian star join to honor a country that I have come to love. This hat can be knit in three sizes in ski-hat fashion (with more breathing room on top as in the photo here) or as a cap in one size that snugs the head. Instructions are given for both.
