Harjakset
Harjakset was inspired by my drawings of swirly locks of hair. Curved, strong lines are combined with lighter and more fragile looking swirls that create movement to the overall pattern. Some people see the locks of hair, others will mutter something about old, frizzled broom bristles.
These mittens are knit cuff-up and feature an afterthought thumb. Cuff is started with a short ribbing before continuing on to the colourwork pattern.
The colourwork pattern is charted. Basic mitten instructions are written, but you will need to follow the charts to knit these. The pattern is best suitable for knitters who have knit mittens before because it is not as detailed as beginner-oriented patterns are.
