Written instructions with full colour step by step photos, to make this textured, autumnal gradient blanket.

Two files: UK and US terminology, in English.

This blanket was inspired by the beautiful warm colours of Autumn/Fall. Inspired by the bounty of ripe fruit and vegetables and the golden leaves.

This is a thick, warm, tactile blanket made with sedge stitch and puffs, using two strands of DK yarn held together to create a beautiful fade from one colour to the next.

I used 7 balls of Stylecraft Recreate and a 6mm hook, which gives a finished blanket size of 100cm x 70cm. One section/stripe measures 7.5cm.

Any DK yarn would also work and the gradient looks beautiful in any assortment of colours. Please see my Instagram page for other colour ways @the_burrow_uk

Instructions are included to allow you to fully adapt the size, so perhaps a chunky scarf, textured cushion or warm wrap instead. Or you could make a bigger sized version of the blanket.
