An abstract pattern of squares and hashtag-like motifs decorates these long wristwarmers from Mary Henderson. She has used yellow and blue shades of Blacker Yarns’ gorgeous Samite Silk Blend, a woollen-spun mix of Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland wool blended with recycled silk.

“The wristwarmers are knitted in the round using the stranded colourwork technique – carry the colours not in use up the rounds, catching in the floats,” Mary advises. “I used just 20g of each shade for my wristwarmers, so they’re a great way to use up leftover yarn. They’re finished with an i-cord cast-off to give a neat edge.”
