This is a unisex, doubleknit, reversible hat that was originally conceptualized when I noticed almost all double knit hat patterns I saw in magazines and books seemed to be mostly for women. I thought it would be nice to develop a double knit hat that men would like. After I came up with the pattern, I ended up knitting some for both men and women, and the ages ranged from an 8-year-old boy to a woman in her 80s…the appeal for this hat is universal. The hat can be downsized for a child by using smaller needles.
