This geek-chic, tongue-in-cheek design plays with the idea of graffiti text. The simple hat, worked from the brim up, uses duplicate stitch for the graphic lettering that makes it unique and fun.

Finished Size 20 (22)“ circumference and 7½ (8)” tall. Hat shown measures 20”.

Yarn Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend (70% merino extrafine, 30% silk; 150 yd 135 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #3216 oxblood (MC) and #3008 black (CC), 1 skein each. Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.

Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm): 16” circular (cir). Size 5 (3.75 mm): 16” cir and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker (m); removable m; tapestry needle.

Gauge 20 sts and 30 rnds = 4” in St st on larger needle.
