The pretty leaves on this hat are created with yarn overs and decreases. The braids are made with twisted stitches. The pattern includes both written instructions and charts for the stitches used.

The hat is knitted in the round and does not have a seam. Very easy and fast to knit!

Size: one size to fit a child or an average lady with head circumference of 21”-23”/ 53-58 cm

For a baby size hat, use a sport or DK weight yarn, for a toddler - a thinner version of medium worsted yarn with smaller needles.

The pink hat is knitted in a thinner medium worsted yarn on US #7 needles, and will fit size 12 months +.

The small red hat in the picture is knitted in a sport weight yarn and will fit size 6-12 months.

Yarn used for size adult: #4 medium worsted/aran (10 ply)
Gauge: 4-4.25 sts per 1” in stockinette stitch
