Haylee Washcloth
Easy, basic washcloth perfect for using in the bathroom or kitchen, and makes a great gift!
Materials:
- About 80 yards of Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn - I used Bernat Handicrafter Geometric Yarn in Emerald Energy and Emerald Energy Ombre, and Crafter’s Secret Cotton Yarn in Gray and City Stripe
- H8/5mm Crochet Hook
- #18 Tapestry Needle
Material Notes:
Yarn Alternatives: Lily Sugar n Cream, Lion Brand’s Kitchen Cotton, Hobby Lobby’s Crafter’s Secret Cotton.
I do not suggest using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton Yarn as it isn’t as durable or tough enough for scrubbing. It’s a good option for scarves and other garment-like projects.
Cotton yarn is tougher to work with when it comes to weaving in. I suggest a needle with a larger eye, and duller point.
Time Spent:
The small washcloth worked up in under 45 minutes, and the medium in just over 45 minutes, including weaving.
