Head Huggers
Pattern description from Stitch ‘N Bitch Nation: “I was growing out a pixie cut and having a bad hair year. That autumn, I knit a little hair band to help keep it in check and, when the weather got colder, a wider one that would cover my ears, too. This project uses a single skein of a luscious yarn, making it a small, luxurious gift or a nice treat for yourself. The shorter band doubles as a neckwarmer, a sweet addition on days when you need a sweater but don’t want a long, bulky scarf. The entire piece can be worked on double-pointed needles, especially if you use point protectors to convert them temporarily to straights (thereby giving the work only one end to leap off), or use straight needles if you prefer.”
