Headbanger
Headbanger. No place, the name just amused us. The pattern is called a ‘drunken’ cable as the cables are worked on different rows, so this could also be a headbanger of a hangover headband.
A monster headband, thick and squooshy and warm. Perfect for wearing on the slopes or for apres-ski or anywhere where it’s rather nippy. Not much else to say, really, super-easy and fast to knit if you can do a basic cable.
2 x 100g balls, shown in Charcoal, col. 800.
Actual amount used: 135g/108m/117yds. (this includes 10% ‘wastage’ and is rounded up to the nearest g/m/yd.)
A better idea of the tension might be:
Tension: 20 sts and 10 rows of cable pattern measure 10cm wide and 5.5cm (2⅓”) deep on 8mm nds.
The cable pattern is both written out AND charted.
