Heading to the Dales is a cuff down sock design with heel flap and gusset construction.

The design features a simple cable motif and lace section, reminiscent of the undulating hills and dales of Yorkshire.

It has instructions for two sizes - 20-22cm and 24-26cm ankle circumference.

The design is suitable for the magic loop method, although it could be knit on dpns or a mini-circular, if that is your preference.

I used fingering weight yarn - 75% merino/25% nylon. The sample socks are knit in the Hills and Dales colourway from Folkestone Harbour Yarn.
