Knit a colourful striped tote with little heart charms and spotted ribbon handles. Each heart is made from 2 heart shaped pieces that are sewn together around the edges. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the bag and hearts are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Paintbox Yarns Simply DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; less than 30g in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, a little toy filling or cotton wool balls to stuff the hearts, spotted ribbon for handles, narrow ribbon for hanging the heart charms, and a large button to decorate the bag.

SIZES
One size only - 24cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
