This easy ski hat is created with three colors of the same yarn. At is ALL sc and slst with one small modification. The Purl SoHo yarn suggested is a yummy and soft wool yarn, but any worsted weight yarn could be used. The ribbed band makes is very stretchy.

For color choices, I suggest either two light colors with a contrasting dark color, or two darks with a light. Use the contrasting color for the heartbeat pattern stripes so that they really stand out.
