After the success of the “I Love Flamingos” pattern for babies, I decided to design a sweater for older children.

This pattern covers the size ranges:
1-2 years
2-3 years
3-4 years
4-5 years

I used Baby Soft DK (Sportweight) in the colour Parfait Print and a small amount of DK yarn in Fuchsia to knit the hearts and flamingos.

There is a lovely collar on this jumper. It is easy to knit and is then sewn to the neck opening at the end. It gives a snug fit and is easy to go over the child’s head. There is also an optional cable feature on the sleeves. The hearts are knitted as stranded and the Flamingo as intarsia. The pattern includes full colour charts for the flamingos and hearts.

150-250 grams soft DK yarn in main colour
50 grams of DK contrast yarn
