Frivolous Valentine fun. We are all for the frivolous here at TBk.

Easy, quick and stylish! Our Hearts of Midlothian patterns are just the thing to decorate your door or table or mantelpiece if you’re feeling romantic around the middle of February. Perfect also if you’re planning a wedding, how cute would they be as table decorations to knit in colours to match the Big Day / dress itself?

The red one is in DK and the cream one is in Ancient Aran (as in it’s been in the stash so long we have no idea what it is!). Stitch counts given for both DK and Aran weight yarns. The solid heart with the bobbles took less than 20m(22yds) of DK, the red ‘heart’ cable wreath less than 56m(61)yds of DK and the cream Aran less than 62m(68)yds.

We also crocheted (yes! really! knit and crochet) some roses / rosebuds and leaves to decorate with, the instructions for which are included. They are very, very easy.

Unable not to attempt to put a pompom on something, we also did a few pompoms. Because we could.

Our polystyrene forms came from http://www.craftmill.co.uk/
