The HeartStrings Crochet Shawl Kit is a project like no other you’ve ever completed for yourself. This is not about pretty. This is not about making sure your colours complement each other. This is not about engineering a result that will be in aesthetic alignment with your wardrobe or interior. Rather, this project is a visual record of the deeply personal introspective work you are about to do.
Letting go of the outcome is part and parcel of learning to love and accept yourself as you are. Your completed Shawl will be a unique creative expression: a repository of your emotions at a point in your life that will continue to resonate with meaning throughout your life. This is a treasure, a loving yarn hug to remind you of your worth.
Before starting your HeartStrings Crochet Shawl Kit, please read the HeartStrings Journal and the instructions set out in the HeartSpace Worksheets to fully appreciate the process about to unfold.

This shawl is worked corner to corner, diagonally and bottom up, with asymmetrically pointed tips. Granny stitch is used throughout with regular increasing until pointed tips are achieved. For the main body of the shawl, regular increasing and decreasing is worked at the same time, then the last pointed tip is worked with regular decreasing.
