The Heartwood Shawl is a generous, cosy wrap worked in Tunisian crochet and designed to showcase striking colour changes while keeping the stitches simple and enjoyable to work. Using two colours of aran-weight yarn, the pattern highlights the beautiful texture of the Arrowhead stitch across the body of the shawl.
The shawl is constructed in two panels. The first panel begins at the back edge and is worked upward. Once completed, the panel is turned and stitches are picked up along the side edge to create the second panel, forming the distinctive shape of the shawl.
Each panel finishes with a Honeycomb stitch border, helping to minimise curling and adding a subtle contrast in texture. A simple edging, worked with a standard crochet hook, completes the shawl with a neat and polished finish.
Pattern is written in English and uses UK terms.
