I decided to create a dress for a special occasion. It was my first time making a dress for myself since I am always making designs for someone else. Being an avid machine knitter, I knew I could quickly make a pattern and complete a dress. Then I thought that I should work up the pattern for hand knitters too—Heather and Lace Dress. The pattern I designed works perfectly for both, and I included instructions for both versions.
