June 15 2016 - a kind knitter spotted an error in the chart, made looooong before I had charting software, so I’m reformatting the pattern and will fix that! I’ll trynot to be too long.

Heavens to Betsy! is an easy cable and lace brimmed beanie. The lace and cables give interest to your knitting at the start, while the mainly stockinette body of the hat offers easy social knitting. The name came from my response to the scent of my first skein of Soft Like Kittens yarn, absolutely heavenly - the yarn too is utterly lovely and soft, a pleasure to knit with.

This pattern would be fine for those learning lace and cable techniques having easy stitch instructions in both written and charted form.

1 skein of Soft Like Kittens Burnished Sport will likely make two of the medium size hat if knit to pattern depth.

1, Small: 14” circumference to fit 14-17”
2, Medium: 16” circumference to fit 16-19”
3, Large: 18” circumference to fit 18-21”
4, Extra Large: 20” circumference to fit 20-23”
