The Hedelyng Slipover is a fun, textured knit influenced by traditional Nordic motifs, each worked in multiples of 7. The neckline is designed to fit slightly high, so the younger ages will have a less wide neckband than the older ones.

There are three unique motif segments worked in this slipover, achieved through simple knit and purl textured knitting. Each segment is divided by a series of garter stitches. Instructions for the stitch patterns are written row by row/round by round; however, you can also refer to the charts for a more visual guide.

If this slipover is knit for a child with sensitive skin, I recommend using an alternative yarn and working fewer ribbing rounds for a shorter neckline.
