Heelless Sleeping Socks
by Nancy Bush
(from Nancy Bush’s pattern description)
"The original pattern calls for "rather thicker pins that are generally employed" to give more elasticity. The text also notes that these socks are easy to make and "as the foot makes a fresh place for itself" every time they are worn, they are "particularly durable." I’ve made this sock per the original through the Round Toe, but I’ve used smaller needles and worked 7 1/2 repeats of the 16-row pattern down the leg, rather than 9. If you want to knit more rounds, you may need more yarn."
