This heirloom blanket pattern is really very unique! It’s the kind of blanket you could make for those super special people in your life (think new baby, wedding gift, or a grandparent), and it’s the kind of gift they would be happy to have around for years to come.

’The Ballymoney’ is made by crocheting two different granny square motifs, that are then pieced together. You can make the blanket any size you desire, each square measures approximately 7 inches. You will need light weight yarn (dk / category 3) to complete the project, and the pattern is written in standard US terms.

The pattern is suitable for beginners, but I also have included a link to my own video tutorial with additional information on joining the squares together, to make sure you have the easiest time possible making this crocheted blanket.
