Hekkingen Fyr
This mitten is constructed as the traditional Selbu mitten.
The pattern is supposed to present the shine from a lighthouse that shines in the darkness. From center of the “shine” you can see a cross, which symbolizes hope.
I knit these mittens mainly in Peer Gynt from Sandnes garn. But you can also use “Rauma 3 ply Strikkegarn”, “Hillesvåg Embla (Hifa 3)”.
Keep in mind the yardage in these different yarns.
I’m glad to present this pattern. For now, its published in Norwegian, but I am also working on an English translation.
I hope you enjoy these mittens as much as I do!
