The open jacket is worked double-stranded and seamlessly in one piece from top down (alternatively sleeves can be worked flat). Starting with the neck band in the back, stitches for back and shoulders are casted on from the sides of this band, afterwards increases on both sides of the shoulder line are made for the front pieces and the final shaping of the back. Later on, sleeves emerge by increases inside the shoulder lines. The jacket can easily be worked shorter or longer according to own needs.

Die verschlusslose Jacke wird zweifädig und nahtlos in einem Stück von oben nach unten gestrickt (die Ärmel können optional auch in Hin- und Rückreihen gearbeitet werden).
Begonnen wird zunächst mit der rückwärtigen Halsausschnittblende. Aus dem Seitenrand der Halsblende werden anschließend die Maschen für Rückenteil und Schulterlinien herausgestrickt; im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit entstehen durch Zunahmen an beiden Seiten der Schulterlinien die Vorderteile sowie die endgültige Formgebung des Rückenteils, später durch Zunahmen innerhalb der Schulterlinien die Armkugeln.
Die Rumpf-und Ärmellängen können ohne weiteres den eigenen Wünschen angepasst werden.
