I’ve been thinking about this hat for a while.
I find long folded up ribbed brims dreamy and got this skein of yarn for myself on my last birthday specifically for this project.
Somehow the end of the spring and the whole summer got away from me, so here the hat is- in the Autumn.
I do suppose it is perfect timing as toque season is upon us.
(Please note for those not in Canada- we use the term ‘toque’ for beanie.)

Brooklyn Tweed Quarry in Obsidian (1 skein)
I used about 70g of my skein which is 140yds (128m)
Needles
6.5mm
You’ll be working in the round
so you’ll either need double pointed needles,
a 16” (40cm) circular needles,
or circular needles long enough that you can work
the magic loop method
Gauge
14 stitches= 4” (10cm)
