Henry the Festive Puppy
Henry is an adorable little puppy dressed in his festive best. From his cheeky tongue to his golden belt, he’ll be providing plenty of Christmas cheer this year!
This pattern is an intermediate design and uses US terminology. A knowledge of how to crochet is essential as it does not teach you how to crochet, it simply provides instructions for you to make the toy.
Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Henry is approx. 16cm seated.
You will need:
- 2.5mm hook/C-2
- 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted > 25g of RED and YELLOW, 10g of WHITE and small amounts of PINK, BLACK and GOLD
- BLACK embroidery thread or 4ply yarn
- a pair of 9mm safety eyes
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester toy stuffing
- Stitch marker (optional)
Notes:
- Amigurumi is usually worked in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.
- Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
- I’ve used the Ricorumi DK cotton in the following colours: o RED = col. 028 Red o YELLOW = col. 063 Saffron o WHITE = col. 001 White o PINK = col. 021 Salmon o BLACK = col.060 Black
- I’ve also used Ricorumi Lame in col. 02 Gold for GOLD
