These mittens feature the fun hen motif from the much-loved Herding Hens socks. This mitt pattern includes two charts with either a three-colour option for highlighting those beak and eye details (which can be duplicate stitched on too if preferred), or a simpler two colour in one row motif option.

To fit (hand circumference): 15.5–18 (19–21, 21.5—23.5cm / 7 (8 ¼ , 9 ¼ ) inches.
Finished hand circumference: 16.5 (20, 22.5) cm / 6 ¾ (8, 9 ) inches.
Hand length (including cuff): 18 (18, 20) cm / 7 ¾ (7 ¾ , 8 ) inches.

MC: (Vi)laines Chausettes (75% Wool, 25% Nylon / Polyamide), 425 m (465 yds) per 100g skein
CC1: Various scrap sock yarn from stash. The marled black yarn is Lang Yarns Jawoll sock yarn, the white tweed is Lana Grossa Meilenweit Tweed.
CC2 & CC3: Lang Yarns Jawoll (75% wool, 25% nylon/polyamide), 230 yds (210 m) per 50g skein
