Herringbone Hipster
the Herringbone hipster hat is a fun introduction to knitting herringbone in the round. Herringbone stitch is tight by nature, please make sure to use a yarn which has some stretch / give to it, preferably a wool. I used superwash wool for my sample knit. It’s also important to knit with a relaxed tension if possible.
Herringbone stitch really highlights a speckled yarn. Be fun with it!!
Please note: you have the option of knitting a beanie or a slouch hat as well as whether or not you would like to add a pom pom. I found the pom pom helped the slouch hat to “fall” properly.
