Materials
• Approx. 2 Balls of Hobby Store DK Magic Yarn.
• Yarn Usage: Approx. 200 grams
• Crochet Hook – 4.5mm US Size 7
• Large – Eye Blunt/Tapestry Needle/Wool Needle
• Stitch Marker
• Measuring Tape
• Scissors
• Metal/Wooden circular frames for the handle: 4-5 inches in diameter
Gauge
•20 SC X 27 rows with 4.5 mm hook = approx. 4” (10x10 cm)
Notes
• When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and
the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient.
• The hook called for in the pattern is based on what I have used, but it is not unusual for the gauge
to vary from person to person.
• Personally, I am a fair knitter/crocheter but you may check gauge once for exact measurements
• If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook; if more
stitches and rows, try a larger size hook.
• The handbag is worked in one piece in joined rows, beginning at the end
• Read the pattern carefully.

Puff Stitch - Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch and pull up a loop to the height of a double crochet (3 loops on hook). Then yarn over again and insert hook into the same stitch and pull up another loop ( 5 loops on hook). Yarn over again, insert hook into the same space and pull up another loop. (7 loops on hook). Pull yarn through all loops except the last loop. You will have 2 loops left. Yarn over and pull through both to secure the stitch.
