This cozy, cabled cowl takes its name from the two colorways used -- Earl Grey and Darjeeling. Mrs. Moon Plump is especially satisfying to knit with, not just because it’s bulky and knits up quickly, but also because the yarn is so amazingly soft and lofty. You want your cowl to be soft and cozy -- not a stiff neck brace -- so if you choose a different yarn, make sure it is as yummy and scrumptious as Mrs. Moon.

If you’ve ever wanted to dabble in two-color cables, this is a great first project. Whatever colors you choose, make sure that there is a high enough contrast so you can really see the twists of color in the cables. It makes the optical illusion that much sharper.

You can wear the cowl artfully draped or folded with a shawl pin. It’s up to you.
