Highland Hill Sweater
Want to try your hand at some interesting crochet colorwork? The Highland Hill Sweater features a circular yoke top that is constructed seamlessly in the round with stranded colorwork. Directions for the yoke are provided both in written and chart form, so that crocheters may follow either instruction set. Pattern is size inclusive, and graded for the following finished bust measurements:
Finished bust measurements are 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64)“.
Video links are provided for all special stitches, and a handy blank chart has been added to allow you to customize the bottom colorwork portion.
Material required:
US F (3.75 mm) crochet hook or size needed to meet gauge (17 sts x 17 rounds = 4” blocked in extended center single crochet)
Fingering weight yarn in three colors of your choice. Yardages below are for a short sleeved sweater, you will want to add extra yardage for long sleeves.
- MC (cream in sample) - 760 (900, 1100, 1300, 1420, 1570, 1700, 1850, 2000) yards
- CC1 (caramel brown in sample) - 150 (180, 212, 260, 290, 315, 350, 380, 400) yards
- CC2 (navy in sample) - 100 (125, 150, 190, 200, 220, 240, 265, 290) yards Stitch marker Scrap yarn Darning needle Scissors Blocking supplies
