Named for Rob Roy MacGregor, this simple-to knit circular snood features a completely reversible stitch pattern created with knits and purls.

Kate Davies Designs Buachaille (100% Scottish Wool; 110m / 120yds per 50g skein) in shade Highland Coo; 6 x 50g skeins
needles and notions.
2 x gauge-size needles.Tapestry needle.
Gauge
20 sts and 24 rows to 10cm / 4in over knit-purl pattern
using gauge-size needle. Gauge was achieved with 5mm / US 8 needle.
Size
Finished width: 42cm / 16.5in
Finished circumference: 162cm / 64in
both width and circumference are easily adjusted by adding / removing pattern repeats.
Pattern notes
The snood is cast on provisionally, and worked in one long piece, with an integrated slipped stitch edging for a neat finish. When the snood has reached the required length, the ends are joined together to create its circular shape
