Hindiber is a cozy cabled hat, in three sizes, knit seamlessly from the bottom up. The cables feature an eye-catching use of texture and the patterning is maintained through the crown decreases. Options for a simple 2x2 rib or a more textured garter rib (as in the sample) are given. As written, the hat is a relaxed beanie with a very stretchy fabric. However, advice is given should you wish to modify the sizing.

The yarn from Knitting in France showcases this design beautifully and lead to the naming of the design; “Hindiber” is Icelandic for raspberry, referencing the texture of the design, the colour of the yarn and the Icelandic origins of the dyer.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Circumference: 40.5 (47.5, 54) cm / 16 (18.75, 21.25)”
Height: 20.5 (23, 25.5) cm / 8 (9, 10)”
To Fit: 51 (56, 61) cm / 20 (22, 24)” head circumferences

The sizes are designed to correspond with child/teen- ager (adult medium, adult large). This hat works well with ~7-10 cm / 3-4” of negative ease (this sounds like a lot but the pattern is very stretchy), so pick a size with a circumference which is roughly that much smaller than your head. See Pattern Notes for modification tips.
