Hip To Be Square
If you’ve got a box full of yarn scraps, then granny squares are the perfect project for you! One of the easiest crochet designs to make, the granny square is enjoying a fashion revival and can be seen on coats, hats, blankets and scarves everywhere. The chunky yarn combined with a medium hook creates dense squares that work well in a bag, and the duffle style adds a cosy winter touch.
Each granny square should measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in using a 5.5mm crochet hook.
