In his last adventure with Dr Watson, Sherlock Holmes got bored of sleuthing for a living and is retired. But for an enquiring mind like Sherlocks, just relaxing and enjoying life just isn’t enough. So he got himself a hobby in which he could excel. In just a few years he not only got himself a few beehives but wrote literature about it as well.

This was the inspiration for the socks. The little worker bees are busy in their little cells. The cells are stacked like the the classic honey comb structure and every other one has it’s own bee. If you want to build your own hive, like Sherlock, you could even embroider a little dot on one of the bees to mark her as a bee, like a beekeeper does.
