In Japanese, Hishigata, means diamond. The 2 stitch cables used in the pattern forms the diamond shapes on the hat. This slouchy style hat knits up quickly in a bulky weight yarn.

This pattern has both a cable chart and written instructions of the cable pattern. You will need 2 skeins of Crater Lake or 1 skein of Doc Mason’s Wool to knit 1 hat, any size. The Large Size is designed for people who need more circumference than an average sized hat or if you have curly or thick hair.
