This is a wonderful unisex hat pattern for older children through adults. It fits a head circumference of 18”/45.7cm through 26”/66cm comfortably. It’s only 1x1 ribbing and stockinette stitch. So, easy. The colorwork is basic Fair Isle type. You could also use duplicate stitch on the colorwork section, if you prefer. The hat is also great without colorwork as a great basic hat pattern. It’s a nice full hat, not skimpy in size. It sports a pompom. I used a purchased faux fur pompom about 3.9”/9.9cm in diameter. You can also use a larger pompom if you feel you’d like something fluffier!

The top decreases are textured to add a little pizzazz to the overall design. This is perfect for celebrating the holidays, parties, carol singing or just hanging out with friends in a one horse open sleigh!
