Hocus Pocus Hat
This DK weight, stranded colourwork hat is fun and spooky, with a choose your own charts option, and a folded double brim!

Lots of fun references to one of the best spooky season movies ever!

Colourwork is charted, two sizes included, and a full picture tutorial for how to finish the folded brim.

This hat is great for stash busting and is a quick knit!

Skills Required
Provisional cast-on, knit, purl, decreasing, stranded colour-work, chart reading, working in the round using circular needles, dpns and/or magic loop.

Materials
Suggested Yarn
1 x 50g, 111 m/122 yds skein, Gingersnap That Yarns, Squishy DK, 75/25 SW Merino/Nylon, in colour Onyx (MC).

3 x 20g, 44 m/49 yds Minisnaps, Gingersnap That Yarns, Squishy DK, 75/25 SW Merino/Nylon, in colours Fembot (CC1), Witchy Wonder (CC2), and Poison Apple (CC3).

Yardage: 189 m/206 yds (220 m/240 yds)

Suggested Needles: 3.75 mm/US 5 circular needles 40 cm/16” length for provisional cast on and st st;
AND 3.75 mm/US 5 circular needles 80 cm/23” length OR dpns for crown decreases;
AND 4 mm/US 6 circular needles 40 cm/16” length for stranded colourwork OR size needed to obtain gauge.

Darning needle, stitch marker, crochet hook and smooth scrap yarn for provisional cast on, an extra circular needle, size 3.75 mm/US 5 or smaller to pick up your provisional cast on when joining the brim together, pompom if desired.

Gauge - 22 sts and 30 rounds/10 cm or 4” in the round, in both st st and stranded colour-work.
