Holiday Edgings
by Susan Lowman
These 2 towel edgings are done in filet crochet with white thread. They are each approx 16” long. The Heart edging is 3” wide and the Christmas Tree edging is 3 1/2” wide. Ribbon is woven through the mesh near the top edge. The bottom edges are shaped to mimic the bottom shape of the hearts and trees while the top edges are straight. Each edging takes 60 yards of white thread. The edgings are sewn onto hand towels, but could be used anywhere you wish.
