Holly is a little Christmas elf. Their hat and skirt have a picot trim to mimic the holly leaf and are decorated with embroidered holly berries.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, Holly is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and beads for eyes.

One size only - 22cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, a picot cast on, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
